Stain removing

A stain on the carpet isn't the end of the world, you just need to deal with it rapidly, as the older the stain, the more difficult it is to remove.
Some stains are particularly difficult to remove and a stain remover will only manage to diminish them.

We recommend:
  1. The stain should be dealt with as soon as possible, it will be easier to remove.
  2. Always work from the outer edges towards the centre.
    • Remove as much of the substance as possible with a spoon or a knife.
    • Wetness should be absorbed using a clean cloth or absorbent kitchen paper.
  3. Consult "the stain removing guide" for which product to use for each stain.
    • Do a test on an off cut of carpet or in a hidden corner.
  4. Apply the stain remover using a cloth.
    • Never pour the product directly onto the stain.
  5. Leave the product to work a few minutes.
  6. Dab lightly with a white cloth.
    • Do not scrub.
  7. Administer a stain remover or carpet cleaner .
  8. Rinse with clean water and dab with a white cloth. Repeat if necessary.

We advise:
Chocolate, sauce, milk or ice cream
  • Gently scrape the stain.
  • Dab with white vinegar, sponge with a clean white cloth and dry.

Chewing gum

  • Place an ice-cube on the gum and wait for the cold to harden it.
  • You can now break and crumble the gum. Do not scrape as this could damage the fibres.

Ball point, felt tip and cartridge pen ink

  • Using a clean, white cloth saturate the stain with alcohol (70°).
  • Dab with the alcohol, sponge then dry.

Blood

  • If the stain is dry, brush and dust up.
  • If the stain is recent, add a few drops of ammoniac or bleach to water and impregnate the stain using a clean white cloth.
  • Dab with ammoniac/bleach water.
  • Rinse using white vinegar.

Wine, tea, coffee, spirits, grass, fruit juice

  • Using a clean, white cloth, impregnate the stain with white vinegar.
  • Dab the vinegar, sponge and dry.
  • For more stubborn stains, use half alcohol (70°) half white vinegar.

Animal soiling

  • These stains are very harmful for carpets and their colour.
  • Sponge the stain with half white vinegar/half water.
  • Rinse well with cold water, sponge and leave to dry.
